Description Peter 2010-10-25 08:17:11 UTC
Ask to add exec_dir patch to PHP. This patch allow to use directive exec_dir, which is similar to safe_exec_dir, but does not require safe mode. Site of this patch: http://www.kyberdigi.cz/projects/execdir/english.html. Patches to ebuild and src_configure-v52.eblit are attached.

Reproducible: Always

Hi. The PHP team has settled for a policy of only adding new patches to our
patchset that solve serious security issues AND have already been accepted
upstream or that they are required in order to make PHP work on Gentoo. One
reason is that we want to stay as close to upstream as possible, but more
importantly is that the PHP team lacks the resources to maintain a patched
version of PHP.

Cheers!
