+  Add PDEPEND on virtual/jre so that /usr/bin/java can't get installed with
+  a VM. Fixes bug #315229. Alpha and arm keywords dropped as they don't have
+  virtual/jre available. Need to figure out what to do with them.

I see at least these options:

1) Make the PDEPEND !alpha? ( !arm? ( ) ) and don't install the binaries as you can't run them

2) Make an ebuild for icedtea available

3) Keep keywords dropped

Suggestions?

I guess we can drop it for arm, see bug #321767 comment #5. we don't have any reverse-dependencies on it nor do we have a jre.
from my point of view it's pointless to have arm keywords for this package. or do you have any objections java-team?

Ok. Let's keep it dropped until you decide to provide support for a JRE.
