Portage issues the following QA notice when installing openmpi 1.4.2 or 1.4.3:
 * QA Notice: epause is not defined in EAPI=3, please file a bug at http://bugs.gentoo.org

epause call seems to be derived from openmpi-1.4.1.ebuild, which uses EAPI=2; the fix is trivial.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. # emerge openmpi
Actual Results:  
Build w/ QA notice.

Expected Results:  
Build w/o QA notice.
