Ive updated to PHP 5.3.3-r1 and re-installed pecl-apc. Try upgrading your apc.ini files, specifically the apc.shm_size variable. For both files: /etc/php/cli-php5/ext/apc.ini /etc/php/apache2-php5/ext/apc.ini change where it sais: apc.shm_size="30" to read: apc.shm_size="30M" (you may have a different number, instead of 30)
I think the point has been missed - I know HOW to fix the problem BUT I dont think an ebuild should install a config file that generates errors/warnings, do you?

However, I had to search a bit to find out what the warning meant as it wasn't clear from the message on the logs. Maybe someone finds my post useful while developers try to address this, maybe not.
Thanks, pecl-apc-3.1.5 should install correct ini files now.
