as $summary says, soprano needs to be ported to raptor2 API asap please refer to UPGRADING.html in raptor-1.9.0 for more information, to put it short: - switch from raptor_ to raptor2_ functions, might need more work - call raptor2.pc (using pkg-config) instead of raptor.pc (or raptor-config, which is removed in version 2 entirely)

# Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> (16 Oct 2010) # dev-libs/soprano with USE redland is unported to raptor2 API # see bug 341237 >=dev-libs/rasqal-0.9.20 >=dev-libs/redland-1.0.12 Masked for a moment. Please port to new API (or remove the USE flag? Is it really needed?)
well, I think I'm going to switch them back to raptor1 api per upstream's advise (the advise being that raptor2 is in beta stage) so this is more of an enhancement for soprano to gain raptor2 support, it's not "due" before 2.0.0 or so
Note that rasqal 0.9.22 released on Jan 12 requires raptor2 (which was released Jan 3) and does not support raptor1 anymore. Also, soprano-2.5.63_pre20101127 is in the kde overlay, but I'm not sure about its support for raptor2.
it does support raptor2 bumping rasqal to 0.9.22 as you mentioned should fix all the chain
I bumped rasqal and raptor to latest versions, but redland-1.0.12 doesn't build with them so it's still masked. We'll have to wait for 1.0.13, I guess.
ok, same here is upstream aware? so strange, the main webpage advertise those as a whole compatible package..
(In reply to comment #7) > is upstream aware? I just asked in #redland and was told that it's known and that 1.0.13 will be out soon.
great, well done Dror!

No longer in beta stage, will drop newer redland to ~arch soon and it will use raptor2. Your options are to port soprano to raptor2 & new redland API's or drop the redland support and pull in the raptor1's slot
ArchLinux went with git snapshot of soprano to solve this, http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/soprano/ "2.6.50git20110703-1" Can we have something similar please?
There's a discussion atm on the (non-public) kde-packagers mailing list about this issue. I'll wait for the outcome of that...
2.7.0 is out and works, no snapshot required :)
Samuli, i can't find it in portage, can you add it so we can unmask rasqal 0.9.26 & friends too? thanks
