Description Simon Farnsworth 2003-11-22 07:45:36 UTC
While running KMess on KDE 3.1.4, I notice it's memory usage climbing; most of
this use is swapped out (2GB swap, 1GB RAM). After it reaches around 250MB
used, I attempt to quit and restart; it SIGSEGVs on exit, whereas if I quit
shortly after startup, it doesn't.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run KMess 1.3 and log into MSN.
2. Leave running for a period of several days
3. Look at memory usage, or quit KMess
Actual Results:
Memory usage keeps climbing, and there's a SIGSEGV on exit

Expected Results:
Memory usage should eventually stop climbing, and it should exit without
complaint.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about this. Your best bet is to file a bug with the kmess developers.
