This is the ircd used by Freenode. It was recommended to use for my own IRC server by staffers in #freenode, so I'm requesting that it be enshrined in Portage for all to see. :)

(Odd that an ancient version of atheme is in Portage (1.2.1, vs. current stable 4.0.1, but Charybdis isn't already present.)

We have started working with upstream to make charybdis more suitable for system-wide installations, we should have an ebuild within a few weeks or less now :-).
