Description Nikolaj Šujskij 2010-10-11 10:05:17 UTC
While trying to fetch puddletag tarball, I get the error about filesize mismatch:

('Filesize does not match recorded size', 296468, 292031)
!!! Fetched file: puddletag-0.9.5.tar.gz VERIFY FAILED!
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
!!! Got: 296468
!!! Expected: 292031

The same with manually downloaded from project homepage tarball. If I update manifest manually, puddletag installs and works all right.

Reproducible: Always

When did sync the portage tree last time. Try syncing again because I made some changes recently. If it does not help please report here and I will look at it in the evening.

Okay it is not fixed. There is still something wrong with the Manifests. I will try to fix it when I am at home.

Everything should be okay now. Upstream changed source tarball without doing a version bump. The ebuilds Manifest still referenced the size of the old tarball, thus the mismatch. It may take some time until the mirrors have fetched the new tarball. If there are still problems try deleting /usr/portage/distfiles/puddletag-0.9.5.tar.gz and run emerge again.
