These versions depend on obsolete policykit, and policykit-gnome and they need to be removed from Portage... right about now: net-misc/networkmanager-0.7.1-r6 net-misc/networkmanager-0.7.2 gnome-extra/nm-applet-0.7.1-r3 gnome-extra/nm-applet-0.7.2 I will be lastriting them in 7 days if no response to this bug is given.
Fine by me, though I haven't touched NM in at least a year.

Removal of 0.7.x makes me sad since networkmanager-0.8+ requires udev >= 145 which in turn requires kernel >= 2.6.22, but nokia n800/n810 that we have gentoo running on only have working 2.6.21 (and last udev that works with it is 141). Any ideas how to handle this?
Personally it's fine by me. What's the problem with upgrading to 2.6.28 or 2.6.35? I've got N900 running on both. I think that should be doable with n800 as well.

Some efforts were made to forward-port it to modern kernels but none succeeded yet.

Either way, this is now fixed
