Description mikopp 2010-10-09 19:34:47 UTC
After upgrading to ffmpeg 0.6 my xbmc 9.11 seg faults when using vdpau. it worked for all other shaders. downgrading to latest stable ffmpeg 0.5 solved this.

I produced a core file and with ffmpeg 0.6 the stack trace is only ???
with 0.5 the core dump shows

#0 0xb6dadb94 in sws_getContext () from /usr/lib/libswscale.so.0
#1 0xb78a9a3c in ?? ()
#2 0x00000000 in ?? ()

I therefore assume that something about that method changed in ffmpeg 06.

The xbmc ebuild should require ffmpeg 0.5 or use the internal ffmpeg instead of the external one to solve this

Reproducible: Always

did you try re-emerging xbmc after upgrading ffmpeg ?
Comment 2 mikopp 2010-10-10 09:02:19 UTC
Yes. I rebulilt xbmc After ffmpeg. Downgrading to 0.5worked without rebuild of xbmc though.

probably fixed by xbmc-10.0
