when I do emerge --clean rsync and then emerge -pu world it shows me the  
packages which are going to be upgraded and to what version... it'd be nice if  
it also showed what version I currently have installed.  
  
Other suggestion is maybe I'm curious to see the ChangeLog between the two  
versions... so maybe emerge --changelog package and it'll d/l the latest  
release and show the ChangeLog out of the compressed file. Or... ebuild 
/path/to/my.ebuild changelog and it can call the changelog() function inside 
of the ebuild and have the ebuild handle displaying the ChangeLog. 
 
The 2nd suggestion is more out there but the first one would be really nice.

The first part of this has been added to portage 2.0.44 or 45 - can't remeber
which exactly.

It has it now...  exactly 6 months after I submitted it.
