The URLs in /usr/portage/www-client/opera/ChangeLog are fine, so it's like an extra "http://" is being prepended for the website. Reproducible: Always
http://packages.gentoo.org looks fine here. Any hint on what is not working for you ?
This is the only page I've seen it happen on: http://packages.gentoo.org/package/www-client/opera (Sorry... I put that link in the URL field but I forgot to put it in the description) The page quotes the changelog like so: "*opera-10.63_pre6450 (08 Oct 2010) 08 Oct 2010; Jeroen Roovers (jer) +opera-10.63_pre6450.ebuild: http://http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/10/08/opera-10-63-release-candid ate-2" But notice the URL begins with "http://http://"
If you run `nano /usr/portage/www-client/opera/ChangeLog`, you'll see that the changelog is being misquoted. An extra "http://" is being added. From /usr/portage/www-client/opera/ChangeLog: "*opera-10.63_pre6450 (08 Oct 2010) 08 Oct 2010; Jeroen Roovers <jer@gentoo.org> +opera-10.63_pre6450.ebuild: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/10/08/opera-10-63-release-candid ate-2"
Confirming - it looks like p.g.o is prepending an extra "http://" to urls in packages' ChangeLog. Quite annoying.
Created attachment 305499 [details] html generated for gnome-extra/cinnamon-1.4 Here is the html currently being generated at http://packages.gentoo.org/package/gnome-extra/cinnamon for the following ChangeLog entry: *cinnamon-1.4 (15 Mar 2012) 15 Mar 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> -cinnamon-1.2-r1.ebuild, +cinnamon-1.4.ebuild: Version bump, see http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com/?p=182 for the release notes. Drop old. The release notes url is getting an extra http:// prepended.
I'm pretty sure I fixed this months ago. Please re-open if you can reproduce on the existing site. -A
