And there isn not any ewarn about it. (i don't mention about other apps linked to 0.9.8). I think this situation is very dangerous and it should be changed. adding a warning is feasible, but that's it. you did not follow revdep instructions to fix your system to use openssl-1, and openssl:0.9.8 has no option to avoid collision problems.

no, there is no alternative. -B will have to stay broken.
