Installs fine on x86 I get a few errors when I run it. xboard: no fonts match pattern -*-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Then I needed to emerge media-fonts/corefonts Next error; xboard: Failed to start first chess program gnuchess on localhost: gnuchess: No such file or directory xboard: Error writing to first chess program: Broken pipe
No it doesn't need corefonts. You can use whatever font you want. Missing chess client is user error. The elog message tells you what to do.
