The Xiph.org Foundation has released Ogg Vorbis 1.0.1. This is a mostly bug fix release, but it does add flac and speex support. Here's the Changelog: http://www.vorbis.com/files/1.0.1/Changelog.

Created attachment 21056 [details] ebuild for libvorbis-1.0.1 The sse and m4 patches don't fit anymore so I ripped them out. It compiles okay for me (I have m4 version 1.4). Works okay against ogg123 from vorbis-tools-1.0 as well.

One thing someone might be able to help me with. After I emerged this package, I had: >>> Auto-cleaning packages ... media-sound/vorbis-tools selected: 1.0-r1 protected: 1.0_rc3 1.0.1 omitted: none Why is 1.0_rc3 protected? Is there something I need to do (besides "emerge unmerge") to remove it cleanly?
