Hi, I think the KDE-4 Session file could be improved. Currently it only starts kde with startkde # cat /etc/X11/Sessions/KDE-4 #!/bin/sh exec "/usr/bin/startkde" This means that .Xresources, .Xkbmap, .Xmodmap will be ignored both in the users home directory and system wide /etc/X11. Just take a look at /etc/X11/Sessions/Gnome from gnome-base/gnome-session to see what's possible. I consider this a bug. X should respect users Xresources in some way and comparing with how Gnome does it, I believe the Session file is the place to do it. Reproducible: Always
