Description René Oertel 2010-09-30 06:20:27 UTC
These are the new nvidia-drivers required for the Nvidia CUDA Toolkit 3.2 RC.
The packages for the CUDA Toolkit and CUDA SDK follow.

These package also installs the binary nvidia-settings tool, but the ebuild of the nvidia-settings tools should be modified to install the executable too. Unfortunately, then there is a collision of both packages one providing the binary and one a self compiled version of the nvidia-settings utility. It would be profitable to find a solution for this collision and the divergence of the description and the real files provided by the nvidia-settings ebuild.

These are CUDA release candidate drivers based on a beta version of the base drivers. They're recommended only if you absolutely need them, I'd really shy away from adding something like that to the general Portage tree. That's about as experimental as it gets. This is something better suited to an overlay.
