In portage for over two months now, I'm personally using it since late august on gentoo/amd64, no problems so far. Please stabilize that, and I'd also suggest dropping older releases. See also bug #287270
A little more than one year has passed since this appearing in portage without, afaik, known issues. I tested it on x86, amd64, hppa. Please keyword it stable.
For the sake of cleanliness, I'm asking to please stable this version if there isn't any showstopper. I can report it's running 25 months now on my (amd64) systems without apparent problems and I doubt there will be any news from the original gitosis "upstream" (dev-vcs/gitosis is actually at a much older release than gitosis-gentoo).
I vote we remove gitosis & gitosis-gentoo entirely from the tree.
gitosis is being lastrited.
Could you recommend an alternative to gitosis? Why is it being removed from tree? Thanks.
Use gitolite instead. Gitolite upstream is dead, and with Git 1.8 it won't always work quite right. Lack of upstream development is also why Gentoo infra moved to gitolite.
