Newest version of PlayOnLinux is 3.8.3. 
Copying the ebuild from 3.7.6 is not enough - it dies during src_install:

latest stable version is 3.8.3 please apply version bump to testing arch

I've created a new ebuild for the 3.8.3 version that can be found in my overlay:

It works on ~amd64.
