Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2010-09-25 14:02:02 UTC
all metapackage of kde doesn't work on hardened profile when MPROTECT flag of pax is enabled.

The binaries that have problems are the following:

/usr/bin/knotify4
/usr/bin/kded4
/usr/bin/kde4-menu
/usr/bin/kde4-config
/usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/start_kdeinit
/usr/bin/kdm
/usr/bin/systemsettings
/usr/bin/kwin
/usr/bin/kwin_killer_helper
/usr/bin/kwin_rules_dialog
/usr/bin/kdeinit4

I work later have removed MPROTECT with paxctl -m.

Thanks

For the bins use libs from the nvidia-drivers that have major QA with exec stack
and the nvidia-drivers is masked in the hardened profile for that QA prob.
feel free to do paxctl -m on the bins but i will not do that.
