Description Theo Chatzimichos (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2010-09-21 17:13:21 UTC
All keywords (apart from amd64/x86) were dropped from x11-libs/qt-demo and x11-libs/qt-assistant, due to the new module x11-libs/qt-declarative. Please (re)keyword the above packages and double check the qt-* modules for any problems regarding your arch.
We intend to unmask Qt 4.7.0 in a week, and we intend to drop keywords of every lagging arch. Thank you
Keywords dropped:
x11-libs/qt-demo: ppc amd64-linux x86-linux ppc-macos x86-macos
x11-libs/qt-assistant: alpha, arm, hppa, ia64, ppc, ppc64, sparc, x86-xfsd, amd64-linux, x86-linux, ppc-macos, x86-macos, x64-solaris, x86-solaris

I just pushed new versions of all x11-libs/qt-*-4.7.0 ebuilds with prefix support and other minor improvements.

Arches please make sure you sync before testing. Thanks! :)

Now that most Qt 4.7 issues have been resolved, we are ready to unleash it to general ~ population :)

In order to unmask Qt 4.7, we will have to remove all keywords for arches that have not keyworded the new/updated ebuilds. This will happen in 48 hours.

Please try to speed up keywording for your arches. If you're in the middle of testing and need a few more hours, we'll be happy to wait, just let us know.

Thanks :)

I think I can't make it, most stuff works, but some things need fixes. Can you move the mask instead of drop keywords? Anyway, do as you need to do to get this unleashed to ~arch, prefix won't make it at this moment with the current codebase.

declarative/demo/assistant keyworded on ~ppc64 (compile tested)

Adding the Qt-4.7 mask to profiles/prefix/package.mask before unmasking it
globally, instead of dropping all those keywords, wouldn't be an issue.
Is the above path/file correct?

Thanks :)

yup it is to me, thanks
Comment 11 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-11-05 18:26:23 UTC
Unkeyworded altogether for HPPA, as qt-webkit wouldn't work anyway.
Comment 12 Alex Alexander (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-11-09 10:04:11 UTC
Alpha keywords were dropped from all packages to allow us to unmask Qt-4.7. The mask was moved to profiles/prefix/package.mask per prefix team's request.

I'm closing this bug, please open a new one if you want alpha re-keyworded.

Thanks :)
