If I emerge cronbase, it does find and merge the new version, but there seems to be a problem when trying to update vcron. # emerge world Calculating world dependencies / emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "sys-apps/cronbase-0.2.1-r3". !!! I can confirm the exact same problem here.
The problem is that the version was specified but no other qualifier (=, >, <). It should be either: >=sys-apps/cronbase-0.2.1-r3 or sys-apps/cronbase3.0.1-r3 This problem exists in the vcron package [3.0.1-r4]. I don't know about the other crons.
Oops, that shoudl have said: ---------------------------- It should be either: >=sys-apps/cronbase-0.2.1-r3 or sys-apps/cronbase
I can confirm that problem, too. $ emerge info Portage 2.0.49-r15 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r8, 2.6.0-test9-bk17) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.0-test9-bk17 i686 Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.12 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="sandbox ccache autoaddcvs" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.easynet.nl/mirror/gentoo/ ftp://ftp.tu-clausthal.de/pub/linux/gentoo/ http://gentoo.inode.at/ ftp://gentoo.inode.at/source/" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups encode foomaticdb gif jpeg libg++ mad mikmod mpeg ncurses nls pdflib png quicktime spell truetype xml2 xmms xv zlib alsa gdbm berkdb slang readline arts tetex aalib bonobo svga guile mysql X sdl gpm tcpd pam libwww ssl perl python esd imlib oggvorbis gnome gtk qt kde motif opengl mozilla cdr scanner acpi acpi4linux apache2 curl dga doc dvd dvdr emacs emacs-w3 expat fbcon ffmpeg freetype fs glut gstreamer gtk2 gtkhtml imagemagick imlib2 ipv6 java lcd mmx mng mule openal openssh pcmcia php ppds samba sox sse tiff transcode unicode usb vim-with-x Xaw3d xine xosd xvid linguas_de" $ emerge -uDp world These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating world dependencies - emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "sys-apps/cronbase-0.2.1-r3". !!!
