I don't understand it, since eventlog is specified in the dependencies of syslog-ng, but without eventlog...

checking pkg-config is at least version 0.16... yes
checking for GLIB - version >= 2.10.1... yes (version 2.20.5)
checking for EVTLOG... no
configure: error: Cannot find eventlog version >= 0.2: is pkg-config in path?

!!! Please attach the following file when seeking support:

Compiling with
app-admin/syslog-ng-3.1.2  USE="pcre ssl tcpd -caps (-hardened) -ipv6 (-selinux) -spoof-source -sql -static"

what's your /usr/lib/pkgconfig/eventlog.pc file look like?

Sorry. Terribly stupid bug report. I was trying to run the test suite by using `ebuild /usr/portage/app-admin/syslog-ng/syslog-3.1.2.ebuild test` without checking that the dependencies were actually installed.

Sorry for wasting your time. :S
