I cannot reproduce, but searching in old bugs I have seen that some of these "sharing violations" are caused by problems with parallel building, have you tried to set MAKEOPTS to -j1?

Workarounded for now (like in a lot of other mono packages :-S): + 19 Sep 2010; Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> moonlight-2.3.ebuild: + Moonlight is neither parallel build safe, bug #337960, upstream bug + #640395. + And reported upstream: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=640395 I will try to follow it and backport the fixes if possible Thanks for reporting
(In reply to comment #4) > > I will try to follow it and backport the fixes if possible > > Thanks for reporting > The standard practice is to keep these bugs open until we have a proper fix in the tree.
But, as you can see searching in bugs assigned to dotnet team, parallel problems related with dotnet are known upstream and, then, you will see downstream bugs have been closed when loki_val was being the team lead. I also see no sense on keeping a bug like this opened as the bug (both, downstream and upstream one) is clearly referred in ChangeLog and in ebuild.
www-plugins/moonlight was finally removed
