I'm fairly sure this is because you have [*] enable deprecated sysfs features to support old userspace tools enabled OR you are still using <*> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (DEPRECATED) ---> Both of which needs to be without * But reassigning to udev maintainers anyway. And Funtoo bugs dont really belong to Gentoos bugtracker, it's unsupported overlay.
i checked this out. both of this is enabled in my kernel :). if i disable <*> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (DEPRECATED) ---> will my ide devices work ?
(In reply to comment #3) > i checked this out. both of this is enabled in my kernel :). > if i disable <*> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (DEPRECATED) ---> > will my ide devices work ? > Yes, you need to migrate to the new drivers: <*> Serial ATA and Parallel ATA drivers ---> Since you have both unsupported kernel options enabled, there's no way nothing modern will work on your system I'm closing this as INVALID for now.
