Please commit the attached file to "app-admin/syslog-ng/files", which has been extracted from Debian's syslog-ng_3.1.2-1 package.

Please work with upstream to get it added to the release tarballs.  I'm not really interested in carrying a debian config file in the portage tree.

Well, somebody was because - up until very recently - there were a number of Debian configuration files in the tree which no longer worked. Ergo, it was not an unreasonable request to file at the time. I can see *now* that they were punted in the new year.
