Installing the unstable version of dev-php/PEAR-MDB2-2.5.0_beta3 fails with: This package.xml requires PEAR version 1.9.1 to parse properly, we are version 1.9.0 Parsing of package.xml from file "/var/tmp/portage/dev-php-PEAR-MDB2-2.5.0_beta3/work/MDB2-2.5.0b3/package.xml" failed Cannot download non-local package "/var/tmp/portage/dev-php-PEAR-MDB2-2.5.0_beta3/work/MDB2-2.5.0b3/package.xml" install failed Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Unmask dev-php/PEAR-MDB2 2. Keep the stable keywords for dev-php/PEAR-PEAR (so that 1.9.1 is not unmasked) 3. Install dev-php/PEAR-MDB2-2.5.0_beta3 Actual Results: Fails with: This package.xml requires PEAR version 1.9.1 to parse properly, we are version 1.9.0 Expected Results: Installed the package. I guess this is a straightforward fix.
I've already asked arch teams to stable PEAR-PEAR-1.9.1. I'm sorry stable users are inconvenienced by this. But PEAR-MDB2-2.5.0_beta3 only is required for php-5.3, currently also under testing. In short: I know about this and it will be fixed shortly. Leaving this bug open until then.
Dependencies should be fixed now.
