I am aware of the above. I am not convinced that the change fixed the issues we were having, but I'll look at this again.
Okay, SRC_URI for paxtest-0.9.5-r1.ebuild and paxtest-0.9.6.ebuild have been changed to mirror://gentoo/... I tested the changes upstream made to paxtest-0.9.9.tgz and it *does* fix the -nopie issue, so I rev bumped to force the new tarball to download. I'll close this for now. Please reopen if there are any further issues.
