Description Alexander Miller 2010-09-13 19:32:12 UTC
The tarballs for the 3 ebuilds are no longer available from ${SRC_URI}.

* http://pageexec.virtualave.net/paxtest-0.9.5.tar.gz: ERROR 403: Forbidden.
* http://www.adamantix.org/paxtest/paxtest-0.9.6.tar.gz: ERROR 404: Not Found.
Please change SRC_URI to mirror://gentoo/...

* http://grsecurity.net/~spender/paxtest-0.9.9.tgz has been replaced with a new revision. A diff of the ChangeLog reveals:
+paxtest (0.9.9--3) stable; urgency=low
+ * fixed Makefile to use -nopie for Gentoo Hardened on ET_EXEC tests
+
+paxtest (0.9.9-2) stable; urgency=low
+ * fixed writable text segments test under gcc 4.5 optimizations
+
Please use the new revision (with a different name) or do whatever you think is appropriate.

I am aware of the above. I am not convinced that the change fixed the issues we were having, but I'll look at this again.
Comment 2 Anthony Basile gentoo-dev 2010-09-18 17:37:52 UTC
Okay, SRC_URI for paxtest-0.9.5-r1.ebuild and paxtest-0.9.6.ebuild have been changed to mirror://gentoo/...

I tested the changes upstream made to paxtest-0.9.9.tgz and it *does* fix the -nopie issue, so I rev bumped to force the new tarball to download.

I'll close this for now. Please reopen if there are any further issues.
