  xorg-server 1.8.2 log

xorg-server 1.8.2 log (Sorry I didn't have 1.9.0 log at this moment, because I downgrade to 1.8.2)
Comment 2 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2010-09-13 09:40:47 UTC
Did you rebuild x11-drivers/xf86-input-* after xorg-server upgrade?

Thank you!! you saved me.

sudo emerge -avt x11-base/xorg-server x11-drivers/xf86-input-evdev x11-drivers/xf86-input-joystick x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse x11-drivers/xf86-input-synaptics
Password:

These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:

Now it works just fine.

But why doesn't portage do this automatically??

portage warns you after upgrading xorg-server about recompilation drivers:

 emerge portage-utils; qlist -I -C x11-drivers/

tnx!! I'm a forgetful person.
I had this problem before. I used "emerge portage-utils; qlist -I -C x11-drivers/" before.

It happens every time to me on xorg major upgrades.

Sorry my mistake, this is an invalid BUG.
