Description Karel Hala 2010-09-09 16:25:50 UTC
Just built a new mailserver based on netqmail-1.06 with vpopmail 5.4.30-r1, mysql 5.1.50-r1 and qmailadmin-1.2.10.

Everything is functioninal just flawlessly. The problem is when adding alias, qmailadmin's expected behavior is to handle alias name and mailbox name and write both values into SQL correctly. But if you don't specify the full destination email address - even its in logged domain - qmailadmin will insert bad SQL record which produces the malfunction of that alias.

On older my mailserver - same config, much older software versions, this is not the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. whenever adding alias
2. does not matter what the characters are
3.

Actual Results:
Does not take value from mailbox name form at all which produces SQL record in incorrect form &@domain.tld in valias_line table of vpopmail

Expected Results:
To handle like it used to in older versions. Eg. submitting alias name and mailbox name in the forms without specifying domain (the same as logged in) to produce correct SQL record in valias_table of vpopmail

It works if you specify whole email address - eg. alias to mailbox@domain.tld

noticed another event, when adding or editing mailing list, it produces white page. Helps "Back" action in browser. Mailing list is anyway added/modified.

Please do some codding to handle these bugs.

Thanks

I'm not writing qmailadmin myself, take it up with upstream.
