The program stops after full zoom out. Does not happen when sunlight has blocked the stars. Without atmosphere happen every time. It's almost certainly your video card that's the problem. I'm not going to be able to really help you since I use all nvidia here. I can't reproduce the problem. It works fine for me.

closing this out with CANTFIX since it seems like a driver issue. Maybe later drivers or later upstream work-arounds will fix it up.
