This is a new effect, I have never seen before. I am using: "RSYNC_CONNECT_PROG=ssh -i /root/.ssh/ssh-tun-from-lynx rose@orca nc %H 873" because our firewall blocks rsync. This worked in the past without problems. Of course /root/.ssh/* is only readable by root. Could it be, that in the pass root was trying to rsync while now portage is trying this?
