Unmasked packages are shown as masked by latest eix (0.20.5 and 0.20.6) if, with portage-2.1.9, I use /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords instead of old package.keywords

I think this is fixed in eix-0.22.0 (Martin will confirm, probably) but I just need to get it in the tree once my computer is unpacked from moving..

This was fixed already in eix-0.21.0.
Current eix versions can be downloaded from the mv overlay (with layman).
