Description alex f 2003-11-16 10:37:55 UTC
After recompiling glibc with nptl netcat segfaults on every start up.

$ qpkg -I -v netcat
net-analyzer/netcat-110-r2 *

did you recompile netcat ?
i use it just fine over here
Comment 2 alex f 2003-11-19 10:16:52 UTC
Emerging net-analyzer/netcat-110-r4 (~x86 masked) fixed this. The difference between -r2 (which this bug is about) -r4 pulls in netcat-110-deb-patches.tbz2 which seems to fix it. Make -r4 stable and a dependency for glibc with nptl?
Comment 3 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-21 23:53:01 UTC
spanks, how soon can we bump -r4 to stable anyway, seems it's been in portage for a few months
