I emerged that package,added the line

forward-socks4a / localhost:9050 .

to /etc/privoxy/config and run started it. AFter that I get :
$> /etc/init.d/privoxy start

 * Starting privoxy ...
Sep 03 21:58:15.819 00000001 Error: Ignoring unrecognized directive 'keep-alive-timeout 300' (3878599515ul) in line 1434 in configuration file (/etc/privoxy/config).                                                                     [ ok ]

privoxy 3.0.17 (stable on x86) now understand the keep-alive-timeout directive.
