Description Joerg Schaible 2003-11-14 16:22:18 UTC
When the current unmasked qtparted-0.3.2.ebuild is installed, an emerge -uUD
world will periodically upgrade and downgrade qt from qt-3.1.2-r4 to latest
unmasked qt-3.2.2-r1 because of a hard dependency in the ebuild of
qtparted-0.3.2.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge qtparted
2. emerge -uUD qt
3. emerge -uUD qt
Actual Results:
qt will be downgraded

Expected Results:
no downgrade

Same here. qtparted seems to have a fixed dependency to qt 3.1.4. Is this really necessary? Maybe qtparted works with qt-3.2.2 too. I hope so.

unfortunately it does require qt3.1

I've just marked 0.4.0 as x86 stable along with parted-1.6.6 - it works with any qt. Give it a shot. Works good for me.

works fine for me too! And the new version installs the files where it should (see bug 27959)
