Description Captain Sifff 2010-08-24 14:26:41 UTC
An ebuild for catalyst 10.7.1. This adds support for OpenCL 1.1.
The Download-Link in the ebuild is the only source that I found on the net for this file. The checksum in the manifest was generated using the file from the ATI homepage. The ebuild is a straight-forward adaption of the ebuild of catalyst 10.7.
Compiled and runs on 2.6.33-gentoo-r1 with stable Xorg and a Radeon 5770.

Reproducible: Always

I guess you'd need also http://developer.amd.com/gpu/ATIStreamSDK/Pages/default.aspx Or just the driver is enough?
Comment 5 Captain Sifff 2010-08-31 10:24:32 UTC
well of course you need the stream SDK for that, but if you look a bit further down the page you see a section with tested drivers. and there AMD explicitly mention the 10.7 updated driver which is the driver I used in the ebuild.
And this updated driver explicitly adds support for OpenCL 1.1 whereas the older drivers only had OpenCL 1.0.

The 10.8 driver seems to work, too. Although it is not certified for this by AMD.
