Comment 2 Jean-Francis Roy 2010-08-24 02:22:29 UTC
See this link for the commit of gobject-introspection that broke things :

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/commits-list/2010-July/msg02179.html

Also note that I didn't find any bug for pygobject related to this in Gnome's bugzilla.
Comment 3 Jean-Francis Roy 2010-08-24 14:25:14 UTC
dev-python/pygobject-2.21.5 from gnome-overlay builds fine.
Comment 4 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-24 18:38:28 UTC
don't know why this was put into portage.
Comment 5 Jonathan Callen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-24 21:39:11 UTC
I had thought the API/ABI break was with 0.9.0, which was already present... 0.9.3 is now listed in package.mask.

My apologies for the inconvenience (note that everything built against >=0.9.2 will have to be rebuilt after downgrading; everything built against <0.9.2 needs to be rebuilt after upgrading, as well)
Comment 6 Jean-Francis Roy 2010-08-25 15:47:07 UTC
Thanks Jonathan, I will resolve this bug as soon as my Funtoo box is in sync with Gentoo's Portage so I can verify this out.
