Description J.O. Aho 2010-08-23 21:51:30 UTC
If you use iBus and you edit more than one files in Kate, and you mark a text in file A, then switch to file B, when you switch back to file A, then the marked text will be deleted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Activate iBus
2. Start Kate (or Kdevelop)
3. Open two documents (A and B)
4. Mark a string in document A
5. Switch to document B
6. Switch back to document A

Actual Results:
The marked text disappears

Expected Results:
The marked text stays marked

This bug has been reported upstream and there seems to be a working patch which has to be applied on the kdelib.
