You have a dependency issue. upower is already installed (and is needed by other packages) and cannot be installed alongside devicekit-power which is required by that unmasked gdm.

Do the stable or experimental gdm's work for you? I know that you won't have the dependency issue with those. Is there a reason you're trying to use a package that has been masked?

I'm going to close this out for now as it pertains to a masked package. If you have an issue with any of the stable or experimental versions feel free to reopen it and change the Summary to reflect the version you're having a hard time with.
