I just installed a fresh Gentoo machine and the file /etc/env.d/05gcc contains
the line:

LDPATH="/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.3:/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.3:/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.3:/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.3"

To me, all those entries look the same. :-)

Seems like I'm the only one who had this problem. I'm closing the bug report.
