Using the default gentoo kernel causes network performace problems. A ping doesn
t come backs or needs about 20000ms for a response.
When using a default 2.4.22er kernel  everything works perfect.

1) Please *attach* your .config
2) Does 2.4.22 vanilla work fine?

I found a way to crash a reiserfilesystem ;-)

Has this been fixed? I see no later posts. Did an upgrade in kernel help?

Assuming fixed. 5 Months with no report, no point leaving it open.
