Description Thilo Bangert (RETIRED) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-20 20:09:23 UTC
To allow CVS access to the new git tree, git-cvsserver should be implemented.

Somebody needs to test that this actually works and how. The objective is, that a developer currently using CVS can continue to use the workflow after the main tree has been switched to git.

How many would do that?
Comment 2 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-21 22:15:34 UTC
Do we seriously want that ? CVS is broken in so many ways...
Comment 3 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-06-08 15:23:05 UTC
Sounds like a feature that may give infra sleepless nights (there will always be some hero who insists that cvs is way better and feature XYZ needs to work perfectly too). Please not, rather make a clean cut.

Since most of us want clean cut solution then we dont need git-cvsserver
