When using app-misc/getopt instead of util-linux, the build of app-text/docbook-xml-dtd doesn't fail but you get a bad error message, as below.... Notice, it couldn't find getopt, yet app-misc/getopt installs a program called /usr/bin/getopt-long only. >>> Install docbook-xml-dtd-4.3-r1 into /j/var/tmp/portage/app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.3-r1/image/ category app-text >>> Completed installing docbook-xml-dtd-4.3-r1 into /j/var/tmp/portage/app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.3-r1/image/ /usr/lib/portage/bin/ebuild-helpers/prepstrip: line 98: scanelf: command not found /usr/lib/portage/bin/ebuild-helpers/prepstrip: line 186: scanelf: command not found >>> Done. >>> Installing (1 of 2) app-text/docbook-xml-dtd-4.3-r1 /usr/bin/build-docbook-catalog: line 27: getopt: command not found * Now adding /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat to /etc/sgml/xml-docbook-4.3.cat and /etc/sgml/catalog * Now adding /usr/share/sgml/docbook/xml-dtd-4.3/docbook.cat to /etc/sgml/xml-docbook-4.3.cat and /etc/sgml/catalog
It's o.k. noticed that interix hacks it in the app-misc/getopt build. We need to do the same for *-mint*. Can you guys fix ?
Yes, we can!
