Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-17 18:13:45 UTC
0.4.2 already builds fine with gcc-4.5.1, but bump would still be nice.
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-17 21:06:42 UTC
someone with cmake expertise should look into this, I'm lost wrt if something meaningful actually changed (let alone try to add python 3 ABI support).
Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-08-20 16:16:44 UTC
I tried to bump it during July but was getting a cmake failure due wrongly detecting bundled libmodman (since gentoo doesn't have any system libmodman yet... and I am unsure about providing it since, at least for now, I think libproxy is the only package requiring it).

A fix for that was committed to upstream trunk and 0.4.5 should include it... but I cannot confirm that just now :-( and I would highly appreciate if anybody else could take care of this.

Thanks

Have you think about asking to move libproxy maintainership from gnome team to freedesktop? I don't have much cmake expertise neither :-( and probably other people from freedesktop could help us on its maintainership :-)
Comment 5 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-20 18:18:23 UTC
asking ? no, I haven't heard anything from fdo when sending mails to the alias. But sure if someone wants it to be under fdo herd, I see no objection.

Freedesktop team, please, if any of you is interested on bumping this, please go ahead, we don't have much time for this right now :-(

Thanks a lot

libproxy 0.4.6

This is libproxy 0.4.6 ebuild. This verison has several major bugfixes including problem with Python bindings and crashes.
Comment 8 Nicolas Dufresne 2010-09-11 19:46:11 UTC
Oh, and if you know anyone from Gnome overlay, this is required to get the proxy support working in upcoming GLib 2.26 (sept. 10), otherwise many libsoup crash may be reported.

Cheer!

+ 29 Sep 2010; Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> +libproxy-0.4.6.ebuild:
+ Version bump with a lot of bugfixes, minimum cmake required version is 2.6
+ now, drop 'debug' USE flag as there is no need now to filter Werror/Wall
+ CFLAGS, add dotnet support, build tests only when needed, fix
+ CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS/LDFLAGS parsing.
