Name: Joachim Bartosik
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Email: jbartosik@gmail.com
Mentor: Alex Legler <a3li@gentoo.org>

Joachim has been working on a webapp for the Recruiters this year's GSoC. We're glad he is interested in maintaining it in the future, so let's get him a g.o hat.

He'll start the staff quiz soon.
Comment 1 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-16 12:48:43 UTC
Taking him over the queue because we will do the recruitment so that Joachim will be our test dummy for for the web app on Gentoo infrastructure.

A simple script to restart rails application running on passenger.

First (and only) parameter is directory of application to restart. It will default to current directory.

It will exit with status 0 and output nothing if everything goes well. It will exit with status 1 and output some message to std error if somethings goes wrong.

Ok the plan is that hwoarang will be the recruiter so that we get input from someone else than myself. If you could answer a single question (doesn't even have to be correctly) we could see how that starts to go along. I think a3li should go and mark himself as a mentor now.
Comment 6 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-29 15:57:50 UTC
Ok the web app is now working well enough that we are able to proceed here.

What we did:
- LDAP
- bugzilla
- svn/git groups on cvs.gentoo.org
- sent you your LDAP/mail password via encrypted mail

Todo:
- announcement

Pending:
- IRC cloak

Automatic:
- gentoo-core

What you need to do:
- subscribe to mailing lists with your @gentoo.org address
- request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to
forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums account)
- send yourself mail to check if it works
- add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org )
  see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org
- set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where
  exactly you are located
- set gentooIM if you want people to be able to contact you via other
  means than email
- If you want your blog to be syndicated to planet.gentoo.org, check
  http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/userrel/planet/index.xml
- contact trustees@gentoo.org for Foundation membership (optional)

He had them prepared, and I thought he sent you to recruiters already :/
Comment 12 Joachim Bartosik (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-07-08 10:40:41 UTC
I sent them to recruiters@gentoo.org on May 28th, from @gentoo.org address. I resent them just now from another email.

Yeah you did indeed :) You just didn't write a comment in here so I thought you didn't :)
Comment 14 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-07-08 15:26:46 UTC
I will be your recruiter. Please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session. If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays.
Comment 15 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-08-09 13:40:46 UTC
What we did:
- cvs groups on cvs.gentoo.org
- announcement

What you need to do:
- add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org )
  see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org
- ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to
join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so
- If you want your blog to be syndicated to planet.gentoo.org, check
  http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/userrel/planet/index.xml
- contact trustees@gentoo.org for Foundation membership (optional)

For the mentor:
- You are also responsible for the commits of your recruit during the first
month so you should watch the commits of your recruit via gentoo-commits
  mailing list.

Nice :D

Only a question regarding reviewing his commmits: as my devaway state, I won't have stable internet connection until September and, then, I am not sure if will be able to follow his commits soon enough, but will try :/

Please arrange something with him like pre commit reviews etc. Perhaps someone else from the teams can have a look on it, too.
I will try to keep an eye on it but only from the recruiter perspective, meaning I will only shout if something is really worse.
Comment 18 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2013-08-09 14:14:41 UTC
Umm, I will try to review commits list every two days or so, letting Joachim start to work (and will try to follow it during next hour days or so as it's the start)
