I've successfully built the following app-emacs ebuilds which don't have "~alpha" keyword and would like to ask to add them the keywords: /usr/portage/app-emacs/auctex/auctex-11.86.ebuild /usr/portage/app-emacs/imaxima/imaxima-1.0-r2.ebuild usr/portage/app-emacs/python-mode/python-mode-5.1.0.ebuild
Created attachment 243011 [details] output of `emerge --info app-emacs/{auctex,imaxima,python-mode}`
Assigning to Alpha and CC'ing all maintainers in question.
@alpha: Go ahead. Test plans are here: <http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/wiki/test%20plans>
(In reply to comment #3) > @alpha: Go ahead. > > Test plans are here: <http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/wiki/test%20plans> app-emacs/auctex 1. Call emacs test.tex (empty file) 2. Press C-c C-e and follow the instructions in the minibuffer (the line at the end) ===> a template created (\documentclass{article}, \begin{document} and \end{document}) USE=preview-latex only: 1. Load the file circ.tex attached to this page 2. Press C-c C-p C-b. There is an intentional error (you can see it by the comments around the region). Maybe you have to let LaTeX process it before via C-c C-c ===> will attach a screenshot. app-emacs/python-mode 1. Open /usr/bin/emerge (be careful when editing) 2. Go down some lines so you are inside the first try block 3. Type M-x py-goto-block-up RET 4. Cursor should be on try 5. Press C-c ! , this opens a Python interactive shell 6. Do some Python ===> No problem.
Created attachment 245922 [details] a screen shot of a part of circ.tex buffer
(In reply to comment #5) > Created an attachment (id=245922) [details] > a screen shot of a part of circ.tex buffer Looks totally sane, so tests on Alpha are successful.
Sorry, we currently lack the archtesting manpower to ensure speedy handling of such a large number of new packages.
