perhaps we could push 0.97.x to stable ? development seems to have resumed on the pkg again
Sometime this week, I'll do a version bump on my local tree to see if the latest und greatest version is tilde-worthy. If so (or if not), I'll report here on the findings.
i already added latest fceultra to portage a day or 2 ago to ~ :)
I just put 0.97.5 into portage as well. It seemed to already have support for systems that only do mono so I left out that patch. The joystick one seemed to still be needed.
yeah, i submitted the patches upstream and he took the sound one ... he said the joystick one broke some stuff for him so i'll look into it unless phil wants to :)
err that joystick patch came from phil and/or one of his buddies so phil, you look into it :)
Don't look at me; I don't work here any more. :p The patches came from someone who contacted me since I was the last person to futz with the ebuild, and I was having the joystick problems. I don't even have the joystick hooked up to my computer any more, and none of the patches that I received ever fixed the problem, if I recall correctly.
I emerged the latest FCEUltra in the portage tree today and messed around with it. Lo and behold, it works just perfectly! However, I've gone from a PSX->PPT adaptor to a PSX->USB adaptor. They both map axes as buttons, though, and it seems to work perfectly even when I blow away fceu.cfg and reconfigure. My personal opinion: fceultra-0.97.5 AM GO!
done deal :)
