I can't boot from the livecd-hppa-beta_04.iso from an HP 9000 D270
cpu 9000/861
the hardware boot manager can't find the ipl boot manager (palo).
I must write thr cd whith particular option? I use nero burning on win2k 
machine.

I don't have windows so I can't help you on for nero but I think there are
no special options to set. Here are some questions which should help you
:

Did you verify the checksum of the is you've downloaded ?
Did you used a cd-r and not a cd-rw ? Theses old drive does not support them.
Did you try to change/look at the jumpers of your drive ? It sometimes needs
tweaking.

Solved on irc. It was a media problem. not software related.
