Same here, until an unmerge of kdesdk-misc:4.4 - then kdesdk-misc:4.5 compiled fine.

Note that bug 337061 is pretty similar, just 4.5.1 and a different undefined symbol!

I just did an 'emerge --sync; emerge -avDuN world' and it worked completely! I think this bug is history!
I can confirm uninstalling kdesdk-misc:4.4 prior to this update solves this. The reason remains a mystery however.

Same here, upgrade from kdesdk-misc-4.4.5 to kdesdk-misc-4.5.3 only work if i deinstall 4.4.5 first. Pretty weird!
So is anyone from the team going to look into this in detail, or should we end the drama with a cute little blocker?
This also happened to me today with kdesdk-misc-4.5.4. The first time, it failed. A second try and it emerged fine.

bug still present for 4.5.5 and no cigar with MAKEOPTS=1 (In reply to comment #14) > (In reply to comment #13) > > This also happened to me today with kdesdk-misc-4.5.4. The first time, it > > failed. A second try and it emerged fine. > > > > Worked for me with MAKEOPTS=-j1 >

what about 4.6?
(In reply to comment #18) > what about 4.6? 4.6.1 (and 4.6.0) built fine.
(In reply to comment #19) > (In reply to comment #18) > > what about 4.6? > > 4.6.1 (and 4.6.0) built fine. Resolving then.
